Dear readers, As the BioValue project reaches its conclusion, we look back on an inspiring journey dedicated to rethinking how biodiversity can shape the future of spatial planning. Over the past years, our consortium has explored new ways to make biodiversity a driver of sustainable territorial development. Through collaborative research, real-world testing, and local engagement, BioValue has demonstrated how planning can move beyond mitigation – towards proactively integrating nature into every decision. From participatory Arenas involving citizens, farmers, and policymakers to innovative planning tools and governance approaches, BioValue has generated a rich collection of knowledge and practical insights. As the project closes, we’re proud to share its final materials: a final video capturing BioValue’s vision, and a technical brochure offering a synthesis of the project’s technical outputs and main findings. The brochure is the summary of single infopacks, which can be found in the Resources section of the BioValue website. The brochure is intended as a resource for planners, policy makers, and other professionals looking for concrete examples and transferable actions to adopt a biodiversity positive approach more effectively into spatial planning systems. BioValue outputs, tools and resources are also openly accessible via Oppla Cloud. The repository is free to browse. Thank you for following our journey – and for joining us in making biodiversity not just a value, but a foundation for the future. |
