The 22nd of May 2024 is the International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB), as proclaimed by the United Nations. The day is dedicated to raise awareness about biodiversity loss and rethink the role of nature in human life.
This year’s Biodiversity Day theme ‘Be part of the Plan’ is a call to action for all stakeholders to halt and reverse the loss of biodiversity by supporting the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. Maintaining ecological balance is essential for human welfare, but contemporary ecological degradation threatens biological diversity and poses challenges that necessitate global action.
BioValue partners celebrate the International Day of Biodiversity together, as they will gather in one of the project’s Arenas for Transformation, in Neustrelitz, in the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The consortium meeting will be dedicated to plan the final activities of the project towards the definition of pathways to enact transformative change in spatial planning to value and preserve biodiversity.
