BioValue partners are thrilled to attend the International Sustainability Transitions (IST) Conference 2024.
IST is the annual conference organized by the Sustainability Transitions Research Network (STRN), this year hosted by the University of Oslo, in collaboration with SINTEF, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), the INTRANSIT and NTRANS research centers and the Western Norwegian University of Applied Sciences.
The 2024 conference theme is ‘Sustainability Transitions and Nature’, focused on the transformations that nature is undergoing because of climate change. Sustainability transition research also investigates social and technical change processes in solving environmental problems and social injustices associated with these.
BioValue will contribute with two interventions on the theme:
- The Istituto Técnico Lisboa (IST) and Mafra Municipality will present an intervention on ‘Transition in-the-making: valuing biodiversity and natural assets in spatial planning processes’.
- BioValue partners HelmHoltz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) with Istituto Técnico Lisboa (IST) will host a session to discuss ‘Transformations designed to enhance biodiversity, understanding the potential of spatial planning systems and processes as critical arenas for action’.
